Zero ToleranceK9 offers a balanced training approach for dogs and their owners. Understanding that no dog learns the same, we help tailor our program to your dog's specific needs. Helping you to create a balanced lifestyle with your dog in mind. We aim to provide you with extensive knowledge on tools, structure, and real world training so you are equipped for any situation.

When used correctly, balanced dog training is an incredible and effective way to properly communicate with your dog. As a balanced trainer, we are open to using and seeing the benefits of all four quadrants of operant conditioning: positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. These four quadrants of operant conditioning allows us to address problem behaviors, reinforce good behaviors, and help develop important critical-thinking skills for your dog.

Just like humans, not all dogs learn behaviors the exact same way, every dog is different! Some dogs may require more time in a specific quadrant in order to get the most successful learning experience out of his/her training. It is important to find a good balance between these quadrants so that each dog can get the most out of their time with us. Using a balance between these quadrants allows us to provide your dog with extremely clear communication between us and them, which in turn creates a healthier, stronger bond.

About Us

My name is Autumn Hale and I started training dogs at the age of 12 years old in 2012! I started as something fun for my own dog and absolutely fell in love with everything about understanding a dog through their mind and how to work with them best! I am a balanced trainer. I will use any tool that best works for you pup specifically! We also work with their kibble as they are survival animals. I love to teach my clients about the science behind why our dogs do what they do, so they can understand their pooch better!

Meet my number one boy Zero!

I got this pup as a throw away dog that could never become anything but we proved the world wrong! We compete in a protection obedience sport called PSA ! In 2017 I earned the youngest handler award, as I was the youngest person to ever walk on the field with a pup trained on my own. 2015 Zero and I earned our PSA-PDC title… in 2017 we earned our PSA level 1 first place high in trial. Awarded High owner training, and High over all protection score, the club reward for all the men and women who helped us along the way. Next we earned our PSA level 2 Third East Coast Regional Champion 2018. PSA 2 National Champion 2018. PSA 2 2nd place East Coast Regional Champion. Then went onto the PSA level 3s earning 3rd place National Champion! We never closed out as I joined the US Army National Guard, and my boy got a little older. I had chosen to retire him because he comes before any sport. Zero still enjoys helping me with working in lessons and with all pups at home!
